Business Finland monitors the progress of the funded projects with the help of the funding recipient's reporting. The recipient of the funding must provide Business Finland with correct and sufficient information for the payment of the funding and for monitoring compliance with the terms and conditions.

According to the Act on Discretionary Government Transfers, Business Finland has an obligation to supervise the use of the funding it grants. For this reason, companies that have received funding must report on their projects. The reporting examines, for example, whether the project is progressing according to the project plan and what costs have been incurred in it. Monitoring begins with the funding decision.
