The aid is based on the Government Decree on aid to promote the decarbonization and energy efficiency of industrial production processes and to promote the transition to a climate neutral economy. The aid may be granted for investment projects with eligible costs of at least EUR 30 million.
Investment projects in renewable energy production and storage, decarbonisation of industrial production processes and improvement of energy efficiency, as well as the production of equipment and their components and raw materials, which are strategic for the transition to a climate-neutral economy. The eligible investment costs must be at least EUR 50 million.
The circular economy investment grant is intended for circular economy investments by companies operating in Finland that improve the level of environmental protection beyond EU standards or increase waste recycling with solutions that exceed the current level of technical development.
