The Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programmes for the demonstration of innovative low-carbon technologies. The Fund focuses on highly innovative clean technologies and big flagship projects with European added value that can bring significant emission and greenhouse gas reductions.

Innovation Fund's fourth large-scale call and auction for renewable hydrogen opened at the Funding & Tenders portal in 23.11.2023.

In connection with the call, an auction method for renewable hydrogen production will be piloted. Auctions expand the range of support mechanisms and promote faster and more cost-effective support for the introduction of low-carbon technologies needed for the green transition. You can read more about the auction for renewable hydrogen from the Commission's website and EU Funding Advisory Service's compilation (in Finnish).

Business Finland's EU Funding Advisory Service and Hydrogen & Batteries program are organizing this info session on December 4 in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. The webinar is aimed for Finnish stakeholders in the industry and hydrogen sector. It also serves as an introduction to the Commission's Info Day on December 7, where details of the call and evaluation of applications will be covered.
