Following the very successful trade mission to the UK in March 2023, Business Finland’s Low carbon built environment program is organizing as follow-up, a Team Finland visit led by Mr. Wille Rydman, Minister of Economic Affairs, to London on 14-16 November 2023. The purpose of the visit is to create good business collaboration opportunities for the participating Finnish companies and get direct contacts in the UK market.

The aim is to target leading building developers, architects, construction companies, technical designers, and real-estate owners.

During the visit, Business Finland will organize tailored B2B meetings, a networking event with the minister present, and visits to the premises of local stakeholders. You are welcome to participate again or as a newcomer!

The UK construction market is one of the largest in Europe, with an annual output of c.€200 billion. It has ambitious targets for Net Zero. Although the delivery to date has been patchy, there are significant potential opportunities for Finnish suppliers in a number of areas. These include the need for extensive retrofitting of existing buildings (both residential and public buildings such as schools and hospitals), as well as such areas as digitalization, BIM, BMS, timber construction, efficient heat, and pre-fabrication.

Scotland, London, and Manchester are leading regions. The repair and maintenance sector is very important. Read more about the UK market.

Participating in Team Finland visit gives an excellent opportunity to meet relevant companies and potential partners from the UK.

Who should attend?

The visit is aimed for Finnish companies that have export solutions for low-carbon built environment and want to pursue the UK as a strategic market or partner.
The participating companies should have products/solutions/services for:

  • energy efficiency and the optimization of energy use,
  • low carbon building materials,
  • digital design, construction, and operation processes,
  • data and tools for managing both the built environment life cycle and smooth everyday life.

Kindly note that participation is limited to 10 companies on a first come - first served basis.
