As a continuation of the trade mission to Aarhus organized earlier this year, Business Finland’s Low carbon built environment program is organizing a trade mission to Copenhagen. The purpose of this trade mission is to identify business collaboration opportunities for Finnish companies and get direct contacts in the Danish market. During this two-days trade mission, Business Finland will organize tailored B2B meetings, a networking event, and visits to premises of local stakeholders.

WHY DENMARK?

The Danish Real Estate and Construction Sector is experiencing challenges to growth – as for instance shortage of some materials, lack of innovation activity and a fragmented value chain. These challenges are providing Finnish innovative suppliers to the industry a chance to enter the Danish market.

Major opportunities for Finnish companies in Denmark:

  • Social housing sector: 73% of all planned projects in social housing are cancelled or put on hold. Out of the 1,873 projects that have been ready for tender in 2022, 31% have been cancelled, while 43% are on hold or awaiting the situation in the construction sector. These 43% of planned projects will eventually pick up again.
  • New housing sector: Up to 120,000 more homes are needed by 2030. Energy renovation and optimization in the building stock are some of the areas predicted to flourish and could give the suppliers in this category plenty to do, despite the economic downturn.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

The visit is aimed for Finnish companies that have export solutions for low-carbon built environment and want to pursue Denmark as a strategic market or partner. The participating companies should have products/solutions/services for

  • energy efficiency and the optimization of energy use
  • low carbon building materials
  • digital design, construction, and operation processes
  • data and tools for managing both the built environment lifecycle and smooth everyday life

Kindly notice that participation is limited to 10 companies on a first come – first served basis.
