The Team Finland network in USA would like to invite Finnish companies interested in built environment and cleantech opportunities in the US and California market to attend our webinar on 14 February, at 17:00 (Finland time). This webinar will be presented by the US Green Building Council Los Angeles, USA.
The US Green Building Council (USGBC) will present a snapshot of the Southern California market, specifically as it relates to opportunities and challenges for green building innovation. Information will also be provided about the upcoming California Green Building Conference on May 23rd, the USGC Net Zero Accelerator for SMEs, and the upcoming Business Finland Trade Mission to Los Angeles in the Spring.
US Green Building Council – Los Angeles (USGBC-LA) was founded in 2002, and with our team and more than 3,000 members, has extensive experience in providing program management and related technical services, environmental education and training, and project management. USGBC-LA’s mission is to accelerate all aspects of sustainability in the built environment.
USGBC-LA is a recognized leader in the field of sustainability with a proven reputation for excellence in outreach, education, and community-based projects. USGBC-LA was also recognized with LA County’s Green Leadership Award for Best Nonprofit in 2017 for its leadership and excellence in hosting 2016’s International Greenbuild Conference and Expo which brought 18,000 people to Los Angeles. USGBC-LA has more than a twenty-year history of running impactful programs that have demonstrated behavior and cultural change amongst the communities of Los Angeles and beyond.
Noteworthy for this project, in 2019 launched the first and only Net Zero Accelerator (NZA) program, which is focused on piloting and promoting technologies to enable a net zero future. In the last three years alone, the NZA has assessed more than 400 technologies and worked closely with more than 80 startups and growth-stage ventures.
