Innovation Norway, Business Finland and Business Sweden together are calling to the Nordic innovative ecosystem to join this webinar on June 11th, 2024, to discover the findings and insights from green hydrogen market and the opportunities in Portugal.

Through the National Hydrogen Strategy (EN-H2) and the 2030 National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC 2030), the Government of Portugal has set ambitious targets to position the country as a leading green hydrogen hotspot in Europe, leveraging its strategic location with an extensive coastline and an already strong foundation in the use of renewable energy sources for electricity.

Portugal's National Hydrogen Strategy envisions significant economic commitment, with an investment of €7 billion by 2030 aimed at bolstering hydrogen production projects.
Echoing this trajectory, Environment Minister Mr. João Pedro Matos Fernandes announced that 70 private investors intend to invest €10 billion to establish Portugal as a leading producer and exporter of green hydrogen in Europe.

The strategy not only targets an energy sector stability through public and private investments but also aims to significantly increase the independence of the Portuguese energy sector by replacing imported fossil fuels with nationally produced green energy sources.

In this webinar, experts from Portugal hydrogen scene will present on the Portuguese hydrogen market, including trends and business opportunities for Nordic companies.

Event highlights
