Embassy of Finland in Thailand and Business Finland's Hydrogen&Batteries program welcome you to learn more about Thailand’s automotive and electric vehicle industry, especially the opportunities and ecosystem related to Thailand’s emerging electric car battery industry!
In the last 30 years, Thailand has been among the top 12 car manufacturing countries in the world. This year it is expected to assemble about 1,8-1,9 million cars, of which more than a million will go to the export markets.
Thailand is also focused on becoming one of the world’s electric car hubs, with an official target of at least 30% of all cars produced being electric by 2030. Investors in electric cars and batteries are granted highly attractive investment incentive packages. According to the Thai Board of Investment, by January 2024 38 battery production projects, including EVs and other uses, with total investment of USD 660 million have received investment incentives.
This Team Finland event is targeted for Finnish battery value chain companies, with a focus on EV battery manufacturing, recycling and and charging solutions who wish to pursue Thailand as a strategic market or partner.
