Business Finland’s Low carbon-built environment program is organizing a trade mission to Vienna. The purpose of this two-day trade mission is to identify business collaboration opportunities for Finnish companies and get direct contacts in Austria. Participation offers a unique chance to engage with relevant Austrian companies and potential partners.
The Austrian government has set ambitious goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. Low-carbon solutions from Finland, known for their innovation in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, align perfectly with these national priorities. For Finnish companies, entering the Austrian construction market with low-carbon solutions represents a significant opportunity to align with Austria's sustainability goals, tap into a growing demand for eco-friendly construction, and differentiate themselves in a competitive industry.
The trends in low carbon construction, backed by governmental fundings, are:
- De-fossilization of heating systems (heat pumps, PV systems, energy storage,..)
- Serial refurbishments and energy reduction measures
- Net zero buildings
- Multistorey timber construction and nature-based building elements
- Inner city greening and sponge city concepts
Who should attend?
The visit is aimed at Finnish companies that have export solutions for the low carbon built environment and want to pursue Austria as a strategic market or partner.
The participating companies should have products/solutions/services for:
- energy efficiency and the optimization of energy use
- low carbon building materials
- digital design, construction, and operation processes
- data and tools for managing both the built environment life cycle and smooth everyday life
Practicalities
Kindly note that participation is limited to 10 companies on a ‘first come, first served’ bases.
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit to Austria on 28-29 November 2024 Business Finland will charge a participation fee:
- Micro businesses and SMEs: EUR 760 + VAT per person
- Major companies: EUR 890 + VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the delegation program.
