Join forces to seek out new solutions, network and attend workshops with industry experts on 25th of March in Oulu. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the future of sustainable energy!
End of 2024 Google announced the acquisition of land in Kajaani and Muhos aimed at future data center development. While Google hasn't made a final financial decision to build, we'd like start a conversation focussed on how excess heat from a potential future data center could be put to good use in innovative ways.
Data centers generate significant amounts of heat as a byproduct, which often goes unused. By capturing and repurposing this waste heat, we can create new local business opportunities and contribute to more sustainable energy systems. This workshop will focus on innovative applications and the economic potential of waste heat utilization. The session will provide valuable insights for businesses and a starting point for finding synergies with others, leading to RDI collaboration, piloting and business opportunities later on.
The workshop is organized by Business Finland’s Flexible Energy Systems program, together with Business Oulu, city of Kajaani, Muhos municipality and Google.
