Join Finland at Health Week in Osaka – Explore Business Opportunities in Health & Wellbeing!
We invite the Finnish companies, as the global leaders in digital health, personalized healthcare, and sustainable wellbeing solutions, to showcase their expertise, connect with key stakeholders, and explore new business opportunities in one of the world’s growing health market.
Osaka is a significant health hub in Japan. The city boasts a rich history of medical innovation, housing over e.g. 300 pharmaceutical companies. Finland is participating World EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan and builds activities around it to boost the business between Japan and Finland. In June Business Finland arranges Japan Health week for Finnish companies to provide opportunities to introduce the Finnish leading technologies and innovations for health care and general wellbeing for Japanese businesses and stakeholders.
Japan is facing similar challenges as Finland with an ageing population and increasing needs in sustainable and wellbeing-oriented modes of healthcare is foreseen. This creates great business opportunities for innovative Finnish companies.

A World Expo (Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan Official Website) is an event that brings together people and innovations from around the world in an effort to address issues facing humankind on a global scale. World Expos are one of the oldest and largest international events on the planet. They offer a great opportunity to build connections to all over the world. Health week participants have a chance to arrive before the Japan Health event and explore the World Expo pavilions. EXPO admission ticket is at own expense.
During the day participants can visit the Expo or have individual meetings. In the evening Business Finland arranges a side event together with the chamber of commerce in Osaka Finland where companies have opportunity to present their company and connect with local health sector companies. Program includes keynote speech by the Minister Juuso, company presentations and other keynotes.
Half-day Tech Tour Kyoto combines history and innovation by visiting leading research centres and beyond. Tour includes visit to Kyoto Research Park (KRP) and one of the leading Japanese companies based in Kyoto. You will get connected to Kyoto Research Park, the first private operated Research Park in Japan with 510 tenant companies and institutions in the field of ICT, Biotech, Electronics, Machinery, and etc. They can present how they can assist you with expanding business operations in Japan. During the visit you will also have a chance to visit and witness Kyoto-based top manufacturers in the relevant fields such as Shimadzu (t.b.c.).
Afternoon will be spent at Japan Health event.
Japan Health is an international exhibition where healthcare experts present their advanced technologies and medical services to the world. Business Finland has reserved a small stand for Finnish health companies which companies can use as meeting point and represent their products and services. Participating companies will also get visibility in the event materials and channels. Every company has also a possibility for 30 min speaking slot in the event workshop venue.
