Business Finland's Smart Green Ports USA Export Booster is organizing a business trade mission to Seattle on 21-22 June 2022. The latest Finnish delegation visit to Seattle took place in November 2021, and during that visit, Washington State and Finland signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening the relationship in future technologies and green transformation.

The upcoming trade mission focuses on smart port technologies, logistics and green transport technologies surrounding ports. The delegation will meet with Seattle and Tacoma ports' representatives as well as with the leading terminal operators in these ports. There will be a Technology meeting with the local industry serving the ports. Washington Maritime Blue and Business Finland have recently conducted a feasibility study on 5G / EDGE network and during the visit we will continue to develop that project forward. We invite Finnish companies developing end-user applications based on 5G capabilities to join the trade mission.

Finnair's direct flight from Seattle to Helsinki will commence in June 2022. There is a flight in the evening of Wednesday, June 22, and you will be able to return to Finland in good time before Midsummer.

The visit will bring Finnish companies together with American businesses in the ports, logistics and connectivity sectors.

Who should attend?

Finnish companies interested in the Tacoma and Seattle Ports projects. Companies developing 5G end-user solutions and interested in entering the U.S. market. Companies offering new green transport and logistics solutions.
