Business Finland together with Yrityssalo and Turku Business Region welcome you to the Nordic electrification event on February 8-9, 2023.

The event is arranged in co-operation with the Nordic Battery Collaboration which is an initiative between Innovation Norway, Business Sweden and Business Finland.

The event agenda includes meetings with potential new partners and customers from Norway, Sweden and Finland, as well as learning and sharing insights, challenges, and solutions between regions active in electrification and battery business.

The event will focus on:

  • the electrification and safety of heavy duty and off highway sector & safety
  • talent attraction and talent retainment

The special target groups of the event are:

  • the companies within off-highway, truck or bus industries and battery manufacturing
  • municipalities delved into the challenges of electrification
  • universities

What we offer for companies:

  • deep dive into the journey of Valmet Automotive: creating world-class battery business in Salo and future views to the off-highway and truck & bus segments.
  • introduction of SIX Mobile Work Machines cluster: Creating the platform of excellence for electric mobile work machines

Please note that the event consists of two types of activities. Part of the activities are open for everyone by registration, and to some activities - the round table discussions, the Sandvik plant visit, and the evening reception by the mayor of Salo -  the participants are individually invited. In the registration form you can state your interest to the round table discussion topics based on your expertise, and to the Sandvik plant visit.

    Preliminary themes: position in the electrification and obstacles for electrification.
  • For municipalities: Track 2: Talent attraction
    Round table discussion on business support activities and university-business collaboration models on talent attraction in the field. The aim is to discuss about national and regional level talent attraction campaigns, common challenges in attracting senior tech talent and possible Nordic collaboration models to ease the talent shortage in companies.
