Business Finland together with other Team Finland players, in collaboration with the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, is organizing a China-Finland Sustainable Construction (Jiangsu) Forum on Tuesday 10 October, 2023 at 13:30 – 17:00 (CST Beijing).
Jiangsu Province, located in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, is one of the provinces with the highest level of economic development in China. The Province has been at the forefront of China's carbon reduction transition in the construction sector.
In January 2023, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Carbon Peaking in the Urban and Rural Construction Sector of Jiangsu Province." The program mainly includes plans to develop green and low-carbon cities, communities, buildings and villages. At the same time, Jiangsu will take the lead in carrying out the construction of the "Carbon Neutral Pilot Area for Urban and Rural Construction".
Wuxi Xidong New Town and Suzhou High-speed Railway New Town have been approved for piloting. The construction of the pilot area aims to explore a near-zero carbon emission demonstration park, promote the coordinated development of intelligent construction and building industrialization, and promote the green and low-carbon development of villages.
To promote Finland as a leading country in the sustainable construction and building energy efficiency sector, we want to introduce Finnish solutions and companies to the stakeholders in Jiangsu Province through a forum. Public project owner, city development officials, design and engineering professionals and construction technology companies from Jiangsu be invited to join in the form of offline participation.
Finnish companies will have a chance to introduce their solutions during the Forum.
Note that the final agenda and speakers will be confirmed closer to the event and will be shared with all registered participants prior to the event.
This business seminar is aimed at Finnish companies in the sustainable construction, low carbon building/city solutions and energy efficiency solutions.
This Forum will take place offline in the city of Nanjing, and will be also available through online zoom link. This seminar has a minimum (4) and maximum (8) number of Finnish companies participation. Business Finland will inform the registered companies on September 28 if they have been selected by the Chinese counterpart to give a company pitch. All interested companies are welcome to join the offline event as participants.
