Team Finland network China is organizing a local business delegation visit to Sichuan province (Chengdu) on 14 - 15 September 2023, led by Ms. Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Ambassador of Finland to China. The focus of this visit is Industrial Digitalization (incl. digitalization, smart manufacturing), Carbon Reduction (incl. energy, wood, etc), and Health (MedTech, digital health).
Sichuan Province is one of the major power equipment manufacturing and electronic information industry bases in China. Electronic information, equipment manufacturing, food and beverage, advanced materials, energy and chemical engineering are the most important industries in Sichuan. Sichuan province is located at Western China and has a population of 83M. The GDP reached 717 billion Euro in 2022.
There has already been successful cooperation with some Finnish companies in Sichuan and the region has a big potential where Finnish companies would benefit further. This upcoming visit will explore more business opportunities in focus areas.
Who should attend?
This visit is mainly aimed for Finnish companies that are already present in China and identify themselves with Industrial Digitalization (incl. digitalization, smart manufacturing), Carbon Reduction (incl. energy, wood, etc), Health (incl. digital health, MedTech).
Kindly note, that if the participating company is not a Finnish company, participation requires that the Finnish company whose interests the Chinese company is representing as well as the relationship between the two companies, is specified in the registration form.
Practicalities
To cover the expenses of arranging this visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee based on actual costs. The participation fee will be charged after the visit when the costs are known. The estimated participation fee is max. 500 RMB/person. The price is subject to surcharges. See more information in the registration link.
