In collaboration with the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and the Department for Business and Trade (bringing Finnish wind energy developers to Scotland), Business Finland is organizing a Finnish trade mission to Scotland on 3–6 October 2023.
The purpose of the trade mission is for the Finnish delegation to learn about Scottish wind energy projects and identify collaboration opportunities with Scottish companies within the themes outlined below. This will provide the Scottish supply chain with the opportunity to learn about the Finnish wind offering.
A key objective is to build business partnerships between the Finnish and Scottish supply chains to work together on the ScotWind opportunity.
The intention of Business Finland and Scottish Enterprise is to secure one-to-one meetings between the Finnish delegation and Scottish companies.

Finnish companies that have expertise e.g. in ICT / Connectivity, offering cutting-edge solutions in wireless, IoT and weather monitoring. The participating companies will have a platform to showcase their products. The energy and storage offerings will focus on holistic energy system integration, batteries as storage systems, and sustainable power solutions. The Maritime/Ports sector will present offshore wind design solutions, low-emission marine solutions, and smart port infrastructure.
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.
Participation fee in the Floating Offshore Wind 2023 (scottishrenewables.com) in Aberdeen is included in the participation fee.
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program. Participation is limited to 10 companies by first come first served bases.
