Business Finland’s Low carbon built environment program is organizing a trade mission to London on 6-8 March, 2023.
The purpose of this trade mission is to create good business collaboration opportunities for the Finnish companies and direct contacts in the UK market. During the trade mission Business Finland will organize 1-to-1 meetings with the UK companies and potential buyers in the construction industry.
The UK construction market is one of the largest in Europe and the country has a target of transitioning to a net zero economy by 2050. Major sectors for new construction work are housing (both private and public), commercial, education and health. The Repair and Maintenance sector is very important, accounting for over £60bn of the total market. The housing market is relatively important, and the retrofitting of the existing housing stock presents a major challenge to meet the zero carbon targets. Key industry trends include digitalization, pre-fabrication, timber, and 3D printing.
Participating in the Trade mission will give a unique opportunity to meet relevant companies and potential partners from the UK.
The visit is aimed for Finnish companies that have export solutions for low-carbon built environment and want to pursue the UK as a strategic market or partner. The participating companies should have products/solutions/services for

To cover the expenses of arranging the business delegation program, the organizers will charge a participation fee.
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the delegate nor meals outside the delegation program.
We are closely following the Covid-19 travel restrictions and upcoming changes related to them. The business delegation may be postponed if restrictions are tightened in the United Kingdom.
