Business Finland's RRF Low Carbon Built Environment Export Campaign is organizing a trade mission to Los Angeles on 21-23 May, 2024.
In Los Angeles, buildings account for 43% of carbon emissions – more than any other sector. The city of LA has ambitious targets to decarbonize its built environment. Goals include reducing energy use per square foot 22 % for all building types by 2035. All new buildings will be net zero carbon by 2030; and 100% of buildings will be net zero carbon by 2050.
In 2023, Business Finland conducted two low carbon-built environment trade missions to the USA: one in Los Angeles, and the other in New York City. Both delegations resulted in several commercial success stories for Finnish companies. Now we are returning to Los Angeles, where Business Finland has a strong partnerships with leading American companies and organizations in the architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate industries. The low carbon-built environment solutions of Finland, are in demand.
On this trade mission Finnish companies will pitch to potential end customers, gain insights into the green building landscape in LA, learn about market entry/expansion in California, and on top of it all: exhibit at the Business Finland pavilion at the 2024 California Green Building Conference.
