This Business Finland Trade Mission, set to visit German shipyards on 18-21 March 2024, will provide a unique opportunity for Finnish companies. This visit aims to facilitate interactions with key decision-makers, technical buyers, and design departments of German shipyards, allowing Finnish companies to showcase their products, services, and solutions. Additionally, the visit will provide Finnish suppliers with valuable insights and contacts within the German shipbuilding industry, expediting their market entry into Germany.
The German shipbuilding landscape has undergone significant changes since 2019, influenced by global events such as the pandemic and geopolitical shifts, including the war in Ukraine. These transformations have not only redefined sector priorities but have also brought forth new opportunities and challenges. Consequently, the primary objective of the trade mission is to get to know emerging stakeholders in the shipbuilding sector, gain a deeper understanding of market demands, and explore upcoming projects.
This visit also serves as a strategic preparation for the forthcoming shipbuilding supplier fair, SMM, scheduled to take place in Hamburg in September 2024. By engaging with key players beforehand, the Finnish companies can position themselves effectively and make the most of the opportunities presented at the upcoming event.
The program of the visit has been confirmed, and includes meetings with Tamsen Shipyard, Ostseestahl, Thyssen Krupp Marine Systems and Meyer Yard.
To cover the expenses of arranging the visit program in Germany, participants will share the costs based on following principles:
Micro Businesses and SMEs: 935 EUR + 24% VAT per person
Major Companies: 1100 EUR + 24% VAT per person
Business Finland will invoice the participants after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above.
