The UK is one of the largest digital health markets in Europe. By international comparison, the UK digital health and care sector presents as a well-developed and competitive market that hosts numerous leading technology companies. Health and care digital maturity across many parts of the UK may be considered comparable to Finland. However, there are e.g. regional differences regarding digital maturity, hence there are good opportunities for the Finnish digital health and care companies to enter the market.
There is a clear business growth in digital solutions in general and in life sciences industries in particular, which has increased effectiveness and efficiency within the NHS. UK sees itself as well placed to grow and become a global hub within the health and social care sector. Finnish companies have successfully entered the UK digital health and care markets. There is an interest within the UK in Nordic innovations, delivered in the right way for health and care customers. Also, the Finnish hospital knowhow is well respected in the UK.
