Global EPCs are looking for innovative solutions from Finland.
Business Finland and the Finnish Export Credit Agency Finnvera help Finnish companies to participate in and win international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) led infrastructure projects abroad. We connect global EPCs seeking advanced technology solutions with Finnish suppliers and offer Finnish Export Credit Financing solutions. We focus on major global projects aligned with Finnish expertise in airport, railway, port and renewable energy.
The financing of large-scale infrastructure projects is typically arranged by international banks. These banks seek risk mitigation from Export Credit Agencies (ECAs). Major projects could involve several ECAs each providing cover for their national exports. As the Finnish ECA Finnvera can participate in the financing by insuring the Finnish exports to the project. Finnvera's participation in the financing enables Finnish suppliers to bid to the EPC contractor.
Turkish contractors have played very important roles in global construction industry. In the period of 1972-2022 they have successfully undertaken 11.605 projects in 133 countries, with a total value of 472 billion USD. In 2023, Turkey maintained its second place in the "World's Top 250 International Contractors List" with 40 companies. Turkish contractors are looking for suppliers of high technology for projects in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia in the sectors of airport, railway and ports.
Participating in this trade mission will give an unique opportunity to meet world’s leading Turkish contractors in the above mentioned sectors and to discuss in details of four potential projects: Railway projects in Africa and in Turkey and Airport Project in Southeast Asia. All projects will be implemented by Turkish contractors and are potentially supported by Finnvera guarantee.
The visit is aimed at Finnish companies that have export solutions for airport, railway and port, including engineering designing, consulting service for ESG evaluation, technology, products and services.
