Following successful collaborative activities with South Korea in the field of quantum technologies, Business Finland’s Quantum Campaign and South Korea country team will be joining forces to organize a Quantum Innovation Trade Mission to Seoul and Chungbuk on 2-4 April 2025. The primary objective of this visit is to further enhance and reinforce our ongoing mutual collaboration in quantum innovation, which began two years ago.
An important feature of the trade mission will be a visit to Chungbuk National University, where IQM is set to introduce a quantum computer during the first quarter of this year. Subsequently, the university visit will be followed by the Finland–Korea Quantum Innovation Exchange Day in Seoul, designed to connect those interested in collaborative innovation within the Finnish Quantum Ecosystem. Moreover, the quantum-related cooperation is expected to continue, as IITP in South Korea is planning to initiate a joint call with Business Finland's Continuous Strategic Partnership Matching Funding Call: 6G Bridge and Quantum later this year.
The Trade Mission targets Finnish quantum tech companies and researchers interested in pursuing collaborative innovation and business opportunities with South Korean technology companies and universities.
To cover the costs of arranging the visit to South Korea, Business Finland will charge a participation fee.
Business Finland will invoice the participation fee after the visit based on the actual costs. The invoiced fee will not exceed the amounts mentioned above. Kindly note that the participation fee does not include flights or accommodation of the participant nor meals outside the business delegation program.
