Call has ended!
Xecs works by catalysing the formation of innovation ecosystems along the ECS (Electronics Components and Systems) value chain. Projects capitalise on contributions from all stakeholders of the RD&I sector – be they large enterprises, SME’s, research organisations or universities.
By bringing the right partners together in 'mid-size' projects (€2-80m) normally lasting 3 years, consortia can support rapid application focused technological development. Guided by the ECS Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda prepared by experts gathered by the 3 Industry Associations AENEAS, Inside and EPoSS, Xecs will launch Calls addressing the full value chain of ECS and will benefit from the wide dynamic innovation ecosystem stimulated by these industry associations.
Aim of the call
For Xecs Call 4, submissions are accepted across all domains of the 2024 ECS Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (ESC-SRIA). All areas of ESC-SRIA are also covered by national funding granted by Business Finland.
Consortium
Companies and research organizations can participate in this call as part of an international consortium.
Please contact Business Finland representative before sending the pre-proposal. In addition to following the guidelines of the international call, the applicants and projects need to follow the Business Finland funding terms and guidelines which can be found in the Business Finland website.
Schedule
The call is two-phased
- Deadline for pre-proposal submission is 23.1.2025 at 17:00 Brussels time according to Xecs Call 4 instructions.
- Deadline for full-proposal submission 16.4.2025 at 17:00 Brussels time.
- Funding decisions in September 2025.
Finnish project participants submit a separate application to Business Finland after the full-proposal submission phase. This application must be submitted to Business Finland online service by 30.4.2025 at 23.59. Application template: Research, Development and Piloting for companies, Co-Research for research organisations.
