Nordic Pavilion’s concept at EXPO 2025 Osaka is called Nordic Circle

The Nordic concept name "Nordic Circle" was revealed to media and partners in Tokyo.

The Nordic Pavilion, a joint pavilion across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, is proud to announce the name and concept of the Nordic Pavilion at EXPO 2025 Osaka. The pavilion is named "Nordic Circle". This name embodies a vision to foster new connections and advance sustainable progress, inviting the global community to join in this collective journey.

The concept was released to the Japanese media and partners in Tokyo in close connection with the International Partnership Meeting organized by Expo 2025 Osaka.

The concept goes beyond showcasing Nordic societies' intricate narrative of life, deeply rooted in values and a profound relationship with nature. It invites visitors on a transformative journey where trust and collaboration have always been integral, highlighting the Nordic countries' strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and global cooperation.

Celebrating achievements, sharing learnings, and exchanging ideas lie at the heart of our mission, reinforcing our belief in mutual trust and collective action to achieve ambitious goals and create a brighter future for all. The circular motif of the 'Nordic Circle' symbolizes sustainability and the circle of life, reflecting the perpetual motion and interconnectedness found in nature.

"The 'Nordic Circle' represents our commitment to collaborative innovation and sustainable solutions," remarked Magnus Schöldtz, the Chairman of the Nordic project's board.

"It symbolizes a space where we come together to celebrate achievements, share insights, and explore new ideas. Collaboration is one of our uniqueness and strength as joining together with 5 Nordic countries", he continues.

"This initiative underscores our belief in mutual trust and collective action to achieve ambitious goals and create a brighter future for all. Together, the Nordic Pavilion aims to inspire meaningful progress and sustainable success globally", says Nita Pilkama, the Commissioner General for the Finnish participation project.

Additionally, the visual identity and a logo reflecting the name and theme of "Nordic Circle" is under planning. This whirl-shaped design reflects the pavilion's exhibition, symbolizing connectivity, and the dynamic essence of the Nordic Circle. The concept underlines the unique collaboration among five nations, aiming to lead by example in global sustainability efforts.
